Cooking & Nutrition
I am not a chef. I am not a baker. I am not a registered dietitian. I have no training, no schooling regarding anything about food. I am a little like Rachael Ray, minus the uber successful talk show and best selling cookbooks. I just like to cook. I am always looking for ways to cook a little healthier, eat a little healthier and make better food for my family.
I recently finished Michael Pollan’s “Omnivore’s Dilemma” where he traces the source of our food from our restaurants and tables back to the farms and factories. It was eye opening and one of my long term goals is to eat healthier and cleaner food, which is not always the easiest thing to do when moving around the country. Sometimes it’s so much easier to run to the closest fast food restaurant.
And so my vegan, vegetarian, pork-free, soda-free friends, bare with me as I research the pros and cons of different diets and I will share with you new recipes and cookbooks that I love and hopefully some yummy (and clean) food.
